Trip to Raffles Museum

Once again, we are going off for our next Science trip.
This time round, we are going to the Raffles museum to learn more about adapations of birds.

Things to take note:

1. You will be leaving your school bag in school however you will need to bring along your writing
writings hence you might want to bring a small bag along with you for the trip.

2. I have been very pleased with your behavior so far during the outings we have gone for. This time round, my expectations are the same. You must be on your BEST behavior at ALL times.

3. You will be let off for lunch tomorrow at 1215 and you will need to assemble outside the general office by 1245 pm sharp.

4. We will be reaching school around 515-530.

Lastly, I am sure you will have a fruitful trip.

PS: You will need to do a reflection after the trip just like what you did for the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.

I like the trip very much.I learn alot of things there. There are about half a million of preserve animals there. We cannot touch the display of animals as they are covered with poison. It contains quite alot of information. There are some animals like the Dugong I had never come across before.I won two postcards as I answered two quiz the guide had asked us.I like the activities most as I can touch the birds and some bird parts(feathers, wings and egg).

I enjoy the Raffles museum trip very much because it is very fun and interesting.I learnt that the animals there have been put with chemical to preserve them. Those animals and insects specimen there are all real except for some like the tiger's eyes and tongue that are made. There was also a very nice guide who brought us around the museum and told us a lot of stories about the animals and insects and her own experiences. We also did a egg specimen by ourselves and we can bring it home as a souvenir from the museum.

The Raffles Museum was so small and i don't really like those science stuff .Even though we learn a lt of things in the museum, it makes me to be very sure i will NEVER be a scientist. I don't really know how you call those people who study dead animals and puts them into museums or study them.I just think that i do not want to be a scientist who studies that kind of things. To all classmates: Those who wants to be a scientist, ignore my remark. No offense.

I had learn lots about the preserve animals but some of it has poison which is the reason that we are unable to touch it.This trip is indeed very interesting. The guide told us that a king croba is 4.4m long.I couldn't just imagine it being so long!I also learn how to do an egg specimen and it was very fun!
